Superstars Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood gave a show-stopping performance of their multi-week No. 1 hit, “If I Didn’t Love You,” during the 57th Academy Of Country Music Awards.
On Monday, March 7, the country superstars joined forces to perform the song on the ACM stage, leaving jaws dropping.
Their performance launched with Aldean seated at a grand piano singing the tune before Underwood appeared from above and was lowered down onto the stage to sing her verse. The superstars then flawlessly harmonized during the track’s chorus working the stage together as fog rose from the stage below them.
“If I Didn’t Love You” was co-written by Aldean’s bandmates Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy alongside John Morgan and Lydia Vaughan. It was produced by the superstar’s longtime collaborator Michael Knox.
The emotional track finds Aldean and Underwood crooning over an ex, admitting that moving on has not been easy. The track opens with Aldean’s signature vocals. Underwood joins him on the chorus as they admit to experiencing heartache following a breakup.
