In a video that went viral in 2024, Nick Diaz was seen rather disheveled as he tried to light something on fire while sitting behind a couple of bushes. He responded with a curt “What?” when the person filming the video called him. A lot of speculations were flying around on the internet about whether it was the Stockton fighter or not, but what seemed to confirm things was Diaz’s girlfriend’s statement. Following the viral video, his girlfriend, Kay, took to Instagram in November and wrote, “Dr-g addiction doesn’t last forever; you either find sobriety or it takes your life.” 
Amid all these issues, Diaz, who was supposed to face Vicente Luque at UFC 310, pulled out of the fight. This further added to the narrative that the 41-year-old was dealing with too many things in his personal life. However, the older Diaz brother has a cult-like following and fans love watching his training and coaching videos on his Instagram page. What if this is taken away?
Well, as per a new update, his Instagram account has been hacked. ‘Diaz Brothers’—the official Diaz Brothers page on Instagram posted a story which stated:
Meanwhile, we don’t know the specifics regarding the whole Instagram situation, but we will have to wait for further updates on this matter.
Almost two years ago, the former UFC title challenger had just got back his X (formerly Twitter) account after a lengthy absence from the platform. However, there is no confirmation if the situation with his X account was the same as his recent issue with his Instagram account, and Diaz never mentioned what led him to stay away from the platform.
While ‘Diaz Brothers’ stated that Nick Diaz’s account has been hacked, there has been no suspicious activity as of now.
But Nick Diaz has been dealing with some massive problems in his personal life, especially his health, according to many speculations on social media. But guess what? It seems like things are going to be fine after one of his recent mates shared an update to calm the situation surrounding Diaz.

Former UFC fighter and a longtime confidante of the Diaz brothers, Jake Shields, opened up on Nick Diaz’s situation, but not too much. During a conversation with Sean O’Malley on his podcast in December, the 45-year-old veteran mentioned that he was aware of the noise regarding his friend’s questionable antics in the video that went viral, and claimed that they were trying to get things right with the former Strikeforce champion.
While asserting that he preferred to keep the personal details away from the public due to his longtime friendship with Nick Diaz, Jake Shields stated, “We’re working on that. So that’s something I’m not going to talk about. He’s a brother to me, and it’s something we’re working on. So I prefer not to discuss Nick’s private life.”
It seems fans will have to wait for more updates regarding Nick Diaz’s MMA career as well as his hacked Instagram account.
Diaz’s last UFC fight was against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266 in September 2021. While he wanted to make a comeback in 2024, it simply didn’t happen. It will be interesting to see if Diaz makes a comeback this year.
