Sheeran opened the show by performing his hits Sing and The A Team before he began a rendition of Jones’ own Kiss.

He was clad in a checkered blue shirt over a black T-shirt, which he paired with a dark indigo pair of jeans and high-top sneakers.

Jones then hit the stage, stealing the show as he electrified the Melbourne Cricket Ground with his trademark vocals.

Up-and-coming Sheeran then left the stage for the What’s New Pussycat? singer to rock the show solo.

Before beginning his performance of Mama Told Me Not To Come, he thanked Australia for inviting him to the Grand Final, later saying ‘it’s special for me, as I’m sure it is for you.’

Sporting a stylish grey blazer over a black sweater and pants, Jones performed hits like Delilah and Mama Told Me Not To Come.

‘I’ve had hits in Australia before, Australia really made this song a hit for me,’ he said before leading into If Only I Knew, ‘it was a hit all over the world, but it started in this country first.’

Their performance was followed by Mike Brady’s AFL anthem Up There Cazaly, which he sung with the help of a backing choir.
