Jay-Z has released a statement after the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by a woman identified as Jane Doe was dropped on Friday.
“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious, and appalling allegations have been dismissed. This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere,” the rapper said.
“The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims.”
The Grammy winner, 55, continued: “I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.”

Jay-Z went on throwing jabs at the “1-800-lawyer” who represented Jane Doe — referring to attorney Tony Buzbee, who is also handling hundreds of sexual assault lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs — calling the whole ordeal a “money grab.”
“The system has failed,” he said. “The court must protect victims, OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence.”
“May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally,” he closed.
The “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker’s attorney Alex Spiro also released a statement on his legal victory.

“By standing up in the face of heinous and false allegations, Jay has done what few can – he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid 1 red penny, he triumphed and cleared his name,” the attorney said.
Tony Buzbee and reps for Combs did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In her original October rape complaint the anonymous woman had only listed Combs as a defendant. However, when she refiled in December, she added Jay-Z, claiming both hip hop figures raped her at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000 when she was 13 years old.
She claimed she was given a drink that made her feel “woozy” and “lightheaded” before the two rappers sexually assaulted her.

At the time, Jay-Z vehemently denied the allegations in the complaint, calling it a “blackmail attempt.”
“What [Buzbee] had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” he told us.
“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!
