Kelly Clarkson had jaws-dropping with her impressive rendition of a popular Chris Stapleton tune on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

On Friday (Jan. 20), the Emmy-award winning daytime talk show host delivered a stunning performance of Stapleton’s “You Should Probably Leave” during the Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, alongside her band, Y’all.

“I know it ain’t all that late / But you should probably leave / And I recognize that look in your eyes / Yeah, you should probably leave / ‘Cause I know you and you know me / And we both know where this is gonna lead / You want me to say that I want you to stay / So you should probably leave / Yeah, you should probably leave,” Clarksons sings in the clip.

“You Should Probably Leave” was co-written by Ashley Gorley, Chris DuBois and Stapleton, who also produced the tune with Dave Cobb. The song serves as the second single from Stapleton’s fourth studio album, Starting Over.

Kelly Clarkson and Chris Stapleton previously shared a soulful duet together, when they released “Glow,” in 2021. The tune is a Christmas song that finds the vocalists trading verses before flawlessly harmonizing during the track’s chorus.

“Nothing has changed, I still wish you could be / Wrapped up in my arms, spending Christmas with me / When it gets cold is when I notice the most / With all the lights on the trees, even Christmas can’t compete with your glow,” Clarkson and Stapleton sing during the chorus.

The duet marked their first time working together. However, Clarkson and Stapleton did both lend their vocals to the Trolls 2 Soundtrack in March 2020.

“Glow” appears on Clarkson’s holiday album, When Christmas Comes Around…, which arrived on October 15, 2021, via Atlantic Records. The project features 15-tracks, including lead single “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)” and covers of classic country hits like “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Last Christmas,” amongst many others.

Clarkson has shared a variety of covers during the “Kellyoke” segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show across all genres. From chart-topping country tunes to rock hits, Clarkson has delivered epic covers of some of the biggest hits, including renditions of Lizzo’s “Good As Hell,” Jonas Brother’s “Sucker,” Blake Shelton‘s “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking,” Billy Currington’s “Let Me Down Easy,” Pam Tillis’ “Maybe It Was Memphis,” Wynonna’s “No One Else On Earth,” Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and many others.

The Kelly Clarkson Show, which was recently renewed for an additional two seasons extending the show to 2025, returned in September with appearances by Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton.
