Women empowerment is not going well for the likes of Caitlin Clark and Paige Spiranac has seen enough of it.

Clark has been one of the biggest stars of this year’s college basketball season as she set an all-time scoring record for the NCAA and took the University of Iowa Hawkeyes to the championship game of the March Madness tournament for the second year in a row. Along the way was she putting thousands of people in the stands and setting numerous viewership records that bode well for women’s basketball in the future.

Unfortunately for Caitlin Clark, a ton of criticism has followed her.

WNBA legend Diana Taurasi warned that Clark’s transition to the professional ranks wouldn’t be easy.

“Reality is coming,” Taurasi told ESPN‘s Scott Van Pelt. “You look superhuman playing against some 18-year-olds but you’re going to come play with some grown women that have been playing professional basketball for a long time.”

She is just one of many ladies to have something not so positive to state about Caitlin Clark. It has gotten so bad that golf influencer Paige Spiranac took to social media to call out the other female athletes for how they are treating her.

Clark has a fan in Paige Spiranac, who has not been immune to unfair criticism herself.

The golfer and social media influencer shared her support for soon to be number one overall draft pick in the WNBA Draft.

“The hate towards Caitlin Clark from current and former players is disappointing but not surprising,” Spiranac wrote. “Women can be absolutely vicious to other women while also preaching empowering the next generation. I’ve seen it firsthand but we must remember a rising tide lifts all boats.”

Clark, for her part, has stayed away from mentioning any of the women who have had something to say about her as she focused on her final year in the college ranks.

Less than a week from now, she’ll be selected number one overall by the Indiana Fever.

The Las Vegas Aces WNBA team moved an upcoming game against the Indiana Fever to a bigger arena due to the team having the number one pick and is expected to choose superstar Caitlin Clark, who has helped draw more viewers than ever to women’s college basketball.

The Aces already have an avid fan base and sold out five games ahead of the season’s start but the movement of this game means they know they will sell more tickets due to Caitlin Clark’s arrival.

The team usually plays at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay, a 12,000-seat complex, but now their game will be held at T-Mobile Arena, which can hold 18,000 basketball fans.
