Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Cameron Brink, and many others make this one of the most interesting and anticipated WNBA drafts in recent memory.

In the upcoming WNBA Draft, everybody knows where Caitlin Clark will end up, as she is expected to go to the Indiana Fever with the number one overall pick, but what happens to the second most popular player in college basketball in regards to Reese?

With the WNBA Draft set for tonight, many projections are coming out on where top players will end up.

The New York Post is projecting Caitlin Clark to go number one, but they have Angel Reese sliding all the way down to the Chicago Sky, who hold the number 7 draft pick.

Via their projection and reasoning:

You might be thinking: “What?!? How is Reese so low — she put up monster stats, was the best player on a title team, and is one of the faces of the sport!” Well, there are also pressing questions about how Reese’s game will translate: Can she continue her signature offensive rebounding rate (6.0 per game over two LSU seasons) against pros? Will her awkward-angle finishing and utter lack of shooting remove her as a scoring threat? What about that mystery midseason absence? The Sky, who traded up one pick into this spot Sunday morning, have a new head coach in Teresa Weatherspoon who has mentored Zion Williamson and a need for more Q rating.

Aside from the New York Post, other projections have Reese going as high as number five to the Dallas Wings.

Reese was one of college basketball’s highest earners this season in NIL. Her final game showed just how valuable she can be as she poured in 17 points and 20 rebounds against the Hawkeyes in what was a loss in the Elite Eight.

Following her final game, she got emotional about the threats and emotional distress for the last year ever since she was thrust into the spotlight when the Tigers defeated the Hawkeyes in the National Championship game.
