WNBA Star Kelsey Plum Is “Devastated” After Revealing Heartbreaking News Involving Her Relationship With NFL TE Darren Waller
The love affair between Kelsey Plum and Darren Waller is over.
More than a year Las Vegas Aces superstar Kelsey Plum and former Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller got married; the marriage has come to an abrupt end, as court records reveal that Kelsey Plum and Darren Waller are getting divorced.
Fox 5 Vegas says Plum filed a petition for divorce on Tuesday morning.
She would soon take to social media and wrote, “I’m devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go.”
Waller, who has played tight end for the Raiders since 2018, was traded to the New York Giants after getting married to Plum in 2023. At the time, fans accused former Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels of initially leaking the news during the NFL Combine.
Plum would take to X following news of Waller’s trade to weigh in on the accusations. She stated Waller was likely traded since McDaniels wasn’t invited to the wedding.
Less than a day after returning from their honeymoon, McDaniels traded him to the New York Giants. Waller admitted at the first Giants press conference that the trade “caught [him] off guard” but that he knows it is “the nature of the business.”
“I did not see this coming,” he said. “I was getting ready to just do everything I could to make myself available for the Raiders and get ready for everything that was going to start in mid-April.”
Darren Waller has not spoken out about the impending divorce.
Kelsey Plum might have a heavy heart right now, but her Aces, the two-time defending WNBA champions, are set to open training camp this week.

Darren Waller was in the stands when the Las Vegas Aces won their second straight WNBA championship in October 2023 and the tight end could be seen kissing Kelsey Plum following the big game at Barclays Center in New York City.
The two of them seemed to be madly in love as they embarked on their new life together, living in the same city.
Things must’ve changed for the worse when Waller got traded to the New York Giants because behind-the-scenes issues have led to an impending divorce.
