Fans Call Gwen Stefani ‘Unrecognizable’ After Singer Debuts New Look on ‘The Voice’

Gwen Stefani‘s signature blond hair has gotten a fall refresh, making a dramatic debut during a recent episode of The Voice.

On Monday, the “What Are You Waiting For?” songstress switched up her look with one little detail—but it made a huge difference, as loyal viewers of the NBC hit reality competition series branded her “unrecognizable.”

Several stunned reactions were shared in response to a promotional image Stefani, 55, shared ahead of the Oct. 21 episode, cheering on Team Gwen—including competitors Sloane Simon and Jaylen Dunham—during the first night of Season 26 Battles.

In the image, the No Doubt singer sat in the show’s iconic red chair, wearing a yellow and green floral tank dress and chunky fixed metal bracelets. Stefani kept her makeup neutral and glowy with a peachy-tone lipstick, blush and subtle but shimmery eye shadow. As for her new hairstyle, she kept her long blond hair parted in the middle, adding a blunt and full bang.

Whether or not her hair was cut or she was rocking a more temporary clip-in style bang, she, in turn, changed her whole appearance.

“You don’t even look like Gwen Stefani,” one critic wrote, in part, via X (formerly Twitter).

“Gwen’s wig is making me mad #thevoice,” a second confessed.

“Gwen fire your stylist,” a different viewer suggested. “That wig w/the bangs does nothing at all for you.”

“I thought this was Sutton,” another admitted, seemingly getting Stefani mixed up with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Sutton Stracke.

Despite the confusion, there were plenty of even more positive comments.

“You age like fine wine,” one gushed.

“The natural looks amazing. You looked absolutely beautiful tonight on The Voice,” a second shared.

“I love your whole look!” someone else exclaimed. “You look absolutely stunning and your sunflower dress is so lovely!”

“totally random but gwen stefani looks so good on the voice tonight,” another added.
