Mike Tyson ended an almost two-decade retirement to face YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul.
The contest was initially postponed due to serious health concerns on Tyson’s part, but a rescheduled date went ahead and broke numerous viewership records.
The main event was not as special, with Tyson looking every bit his age after the first minute or so. Paul cruised to a unanimous decision over eight, two-minute rounds.
Post-fight, Tyson suggested a fight with Jake’s brother, Logan. His family later said that he was now retired for good, and in a new interview with Men’s Health six months on from the contest, the former undisputed heavyweight champion has confirmed as much.
“The only person I’m fighting now is my accountant. Other than that, I’m just living life and I’m doing good right now.”

The young superstar is 11-1 in his campaign, with many of those victories coming over former UFC fighters. His sole loss came at the hands of Tommy Fury, the half-brother of two-time heavyweight champion Tyson, though attempts to make a rematch have fallen flat.
Instead, Paul looked to the biggest names in the sport in Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Gervonta Davis but both sets of talks collapsed for different reasons. He may now pick out a lesser name contender to pursue his goal of becoming a legitimate world champion.
