Aussie pop star Kylie, 53, remembered how the legendary cricketer turned up one day to her home for a BBQ with her parents.
‘I just wanted to share a little story about Shane and his parents, Bridget and Keith, turning up to my parents’ house in Melbourne for a BBQ one day,’ Kylie recalled.
‘Opening the door, there they are, Shane with his blue eyes and big cheeky smile.
‘He had that star quality and charisma that the world got to know and love, but it was exactly the same on the front doorstep as it was out in the cricket field.
‘So yeah, he had it and he took it everywhere he went and how lucky we were to get to know that.
‘So that light will continue to burn bright in our memories forever more and we’ll miss you, Warnie.’
Meanwhile, Hugh remembered Warnie’s cricket achievements and love of life.
‘Today we mourn not only in Australia, but all over the world an incredible life and achievements of Shane Warne,’ Jackman, 53, said in a pre-recorded video.
‘But we also celebrate because Warnie, yes, one of the greatest cricketers to ever play the game, somehow as a human being reminded us to make the most of every single second.
‘Man, he sucked the marrow out of life. He was a great teammate. He loved the game of cricket. He loved his friends and family. He loved life. There was no one like you Warnie and never will be again. We will miss you.’

Elton, 75, performed his hit, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me, ‘in memory of Shane’, who he described as ‘one of the greatest sportsmen ever’.
‘One of the most amazing Australian cricketers of all time. It’s a sad day today but it’s not in some ways because his legacy lives on and he will live on through future generations,’ he said ahead of his performance.
Describing Shane as ‘mesmerising’ and ‘brilliant’, Elton said he ‘loved to play cricket and loved life’.
Addressing Shane’s children, he added: ‘I want to dedicate this song to Brooke, to Summer and Jackson, and to all the people that came out today. God bless you, Shane. God bless the family.’
