According to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney, the American hip hop mogul plans to testify in his case.
Sean “ Diddy ” Combs is currently serving time in prison for sex trafficking, engaging in prostitution and racketeering. The 54-year-old mogul faced legal action after federal authorities raided his Miami and Los Angeles homes in March.
According to an unsealed indictment, the findings show that the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper “forced women and others around him to satisfy his sexual desires.” However, Sean has so far pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations against him.
In addition to the above charges, Sean is also accused of “creating a criminal organization whose members and associates engaged in … sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo said his client plans to testify, Page Six reported. Combs’ attorney said the Bad Boy Records founder will testify and is “eager to tell his story.”
Agnifilo shared that Sean “Diddy” Combs also wanted to tell his story about the 2016 hotel security video that captured him attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura nearly a decade later.
“He has his story and he has a story that I think only he can tell in the way that he can tell it in the time that he did,” said attorney Marc. “And it’s a human story. It’s a story of love. It’s a story of vulnerability. It’s a story of heartbreak.”
According to Page Six and local news outlets, Sean “Diddy” Combs is also expected to be questioned about his “extreme” parties and allegedly blowing up Kid Cudi’s car in 2012. Sean may also be questioned about details of Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit, in which she accused him of raping, abusing, and forcing her to have sex with prostitutes.
Attorney Marc Agnifilo knew that video of Combs abusing Ventura would be presented at trial but argued that it was irrelevant to the charges his client was arrested on. Agnifilo said of the video that it was “hard for anyone to watch.”
“However, this is not evidence of sex trafficking. There was a certain level of toxicity and drug use in the 10-year relationship between Mr. Combs and the woman he loved,” Sean’s attorney said. “Their difficulties did not stem from their intimate time together. Their difficulties stemmed from her cheating on him and his cheating on her… That is irrelevant to the charges.”
