A clip has resurfaced of Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres on an episode of her now-canceled self-titled daytime talk show, The Ellen Show

Sean “P Diddy” Combs’ parties have gone from being “the place to be” to events that no one seems to want to be associated with.

After Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering last month, the music mogul has been heavily scrutinized and shamed for his disturbing alleged abusive actions, which he has denied. As sexual abuse accusations against Diddy continue to roll in, and his “Freak Off” parties remain top of mind for many, internet sleuths are side-eyeing celebs who attended any of his parties, along with any A-lister who was simply invited, such as Ellen DeGeneres.

Recently a clip resurfaced of the Bad Boy Records founder sitting down with Ellen years ago on an episode of her now-canceled self-titled daytime talk show, The Ellen Show.

During his appearance on the show, he pointed out how Ellen was one of the few famous people who he wasn’t able to get to come to one of his parties. In the clip that’s recirculating online, the comedian teased the rapper about hosting a bash on the East Coast, and then playfully asked “Am I invited?”

The I’ll Be Missing You rapper immediately replied: “I invite you to all my parties; you just haven’t shown up.” Attempting to wiggle out of having to go to Diddy’s now-infamous events, she countered that his parties being on the East Coast made it hard for her to go to them.

Since Ellen’s show was being filmed on the West Coast, Diddy tried to encourage her presence at his events by suggesting he host on the West Coast. He even proposed that he had it at his own home.

Although Ellen was repeatedly invited to Diddy’s parties, and the two have crossed paths in Hollywood, there isn’t any public record of her going to his parties. While Ellen might not have partied with Diddy, the two appeared to be pretty close at one point.

In 2016, the ex-talk show host wished Diddy a happy birthday on then-Twitter for his 47th birthday, referring to him as a cringy nickname in the post. The post read: “Happy birthday, P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I call him, Cuddle McSnugglestuff. You don’t need to know why. @iamdiddy.” The throwback tweet resurfaced shortly after Diddy was arrested in mid-September. It of course caused an uproar on social media.

One person wrote: “‘Cuddle McSnugglestuff. You don’t need to know why.’ Ellen should’ve been under the jail.” Another person wrote: “.. ohhh she fcking knew. ‘… You don’t need to know why….’.” A third person wrote: “Do you know how sick you gotta be to be on a nickname basis with Diddy??!?!?'” A fourth user wrote: “‘Cuddle McSnugglestuff’ Diddy even got Ellen.”

Diddy is being jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as he awaits trial. He has pleaded not guilty in court.
