A grinning Prince William put his tour of Ireland on hold while he stopped for a selfie with a sports fan on Wednesday.

Jennifer Malone, who has posed alongside celebrities including Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, former The Saturdays singer Una Healey and Irish rugby captain Johnny Sexton, can now add a snap with royalty to her ever-increasing photo album.

The adorable photos, which were taken as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Prosperous village in Co Kildare, were shared on Twitter by her delighted mother Donna, along with the caption: ‘A really nice guy.’

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Donna told how her daughter handed the Duke of Cambridge, 38, a bunch of daffodils which she instructed he give to his wife, Kate Middleton, also 38.

William and Kate are currently on their first official visit to Ireland, a three-day trip which began Tuesday and will take them from Dublin to Galway.

On Wednesday, the couple joined young people cooking and playing table tennis as they visited Savannah House in County Kildare, a residential facility run by social justice charity Extern.

They also went to youth mental health charity Jigsaw in Dublin and spoke of the importance of getting a ‘tool box’ to help deal with life’s issues as they talked to young people at the drop-in centre.

Later, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a romantic clifftop walk in rural Ireland – accompanied by security.

Today, Prince William showed off his juggling skills as he and his wife Kate were given a preview of some of the entertainment featured during Galway’s year as the European Capital of Culture.
