Iron Mike Tyson will face Jake Paul whilst “high off life” as he returns to professional boxing for the first time in almost two decades, although he hinted he could even be under the influence of marijuana.

The 58-year-old will step into the ring for the first time since 2005 when he faces the YouTube on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas although the fight has been controversially received.

Concerns surround Tyson’s age so the bout has modified rules, but it already had to be cancelled from the July date following an ulcer flare up for the former-heavyweight champion of the world.

But he seems to be taking it in his stride based on his light-hearted interview on The Jimmy Kimmel Show as he was grilled about the upcoming fight, which will be exclusively aired by Netflix.

“Well, not really,” Tyson told Jimmy Kimmel on whether he’s used drugs recently. “I have smoked, but not anytime soon. I’m gonna be so high off life.”

Tyson then joked about being high in the ring when pressed by Kimmel on his love of weed by adding, “That’s a possibility too.”

Paul tips prime Tyson in the ring

Iron Mike Tyson is one of, if not the, most feared fighters of all-time thanks to his intimidating aura backed up by his muscular frame and devastating knockout power, that has seen him finish 44 of his 50 wins by KO.

That’s who Paul, 28, is preparing to face, in what is probably going to be his second-toughest fight after he faced Tommy Fury in 2023, as he expects a very healthy and very professional Tyson in the other corner.

“Super healthy behind the scenes and feeling great,” Paul said of Tyson previously to TMZ Sports. “A pro fight means war, and I don’t take it lightly.

“You can get seriously hurt or injured in there. So, if you’re not in there to go to war, then you should just get out.”
