The king may be dead but Elvis Presley continues to reign with a number one album almost 40 years on from his death.
If I Can Dream, a collection of Elvis classics featuring orchestral re-workings by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, is the star’s 12th chart-topping album in the UK after racing to the number one spot on Friday.
He now has more number one albums in the UK than any other male solo artist, putting him level with Madonna in second place for the most chart-topping LPs, behind the Beatles, who have 15, the Official Charts Company said.
