Though he played a minimal role in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 32-29 win over the Buffalo Bills in Sunday’s AFC Championship game, all eyes were on tight end Travis Kelce when the team hit the field for the Lamar Hunt trophy presentation.
Kelce caught just two passes on four targets for 19 yards, though he had a key block on Patrick Mahomes’ 10-yard rushing touchdown early in the fourth quarter that put the Chiefs up 29-22 with 10:14 left in the game.
But Kelce was the center of attention during the team’s postgame celebration as his girlfriend Taylor Swift made her way from her suite down to the field to celebrate with him. And just like last year, cameras made sure to follow the couple’s every move.
Swift commands plenty of attention when she attends game at Arrowhead Stadium. Her arrivals and outfits typically go viral, and the television broadcasts often pan to her during key moments during games for her reactions.
So when Swift and Kelce met on the field and shared a kiss, video of their celebratory meeting drew some pretty animated reactions from fans on social media.
“YOU HAVE TO BE VERY BITTER TO ROOT AGAINST THIS HERE,” one fan wrote.
“Taylor’s out there proving she’s the real MVP — Most Valuable Partner,” another fan proclaimed.
“The way this is the thing I’ve been looking forward since September and it’s actually happening now,” remarked one fan.
“A lot different than last year’s celebration,” one user quipped.
“Love that [Kelce] is so friendly with her security they are chatting it up as well,” stated another user.
“I NEED A HD PIC OF THIS ARE YOU KIDDING ME,” one fan exclaimed.
“They have seen all of our 2024 kissy face AFC edits and said no more,” joked another fan.
With their AFC Championship Game win, the Chiefs are just one win away from becoming the first team in NFL history to three-peat as Super Bowl champions.
Standing in their way is the Philadelphia Eagles, who the Chiefs beat 38-35 in Super Bowl 57 just two years ago.
