Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Get ready for another exhilarating chapter in the Knives Out series as the franchise returns for its third installment. This week, writer and director Rian Johnson announced on Twitter that the new film, Knives Out 3 will be titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, and is officially in the works. The first Knives Out film, released in 2019, was a success, praised for its plot and standout acting. It introduced audiences to the brilliant detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, who unraveled the web of secrets surrounding a wealthy family’s patriarch’s death. The sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, followed in 2022, taking Blanc on another intriguing case with an equally remarkable cast.

“The next Benoit Blanc mystery, the follow-up to Knives Out and Glass Onion, is called Wake Up Dead Man,” Johnson stated. Netflix announced that Daniel Craig will return to the character of Benoit Blanc. The streaming service shared, “That’s right, Daniel Craig is back as the suave Southern investigator in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson. Blanc will be unraveling a brand-new murder mystery in an as-yet-undisclosed setting, surrounded by a new colorful cast of suspects.” Regarding Daniel Craig’s upcoming journey, fans are excited about who will be joining him. Hugh Grant, Toni Collette, and Ana de Armas were among the stars of the first two movies. Josh O’Connor, Lindsay Lohan, Tom Hardy, and Cailee Spaeny are reportedly in talks to be in Knives Out 3.

According to What’s On Netflix, O’Connor from Challengers, and Spaeny, who starred in Priscilla, are close to finalizing their involvement in Knives Out 3. Additionally, the Instagram gossip page Deux Moi suggested months ago that Lohan and Hardy were being considered for roles. If these rumors prove accurate, it would signify Lohan’s most significant role since her recent return to acting, following her appearances in the Netflix rom-com Irish Wish and a cameo in the Mean Girls reboot.

As production begins, more details will emerge. For now, the anticipation is high for what promises to be another thrilling and captivating chapter in the Knives Out series.
