Kane Brown brought a medley of his biggest hits to millions of fans around the country on Thanksgiving Day with his high profile appearance headlining the halftime show for the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington NFL matchup.

The superstar brought his a-game, performing songs such as “Heaven,” “Worldwide Beautiful,” “Be Like That,” “Lose It,” his chart-topping smash “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina and more.

After the show, which was in support of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, many fans took to social media to campaign for Brown to land an appearance at the Super Bowl.

“Unpopular opinion: Kane Brown’s halftime set today was better than the last two Super Bowl halftime shows,” one fan wrote.

A quick Twitter search will result in hundreds of other comments with the same opinion.

“Why is Kane Brown on Thanksgiving not the Superbowl,” someone else questioned. 

It’s been quite some time since a country artist has been given the opportunity to headline the Super Bowl. Shania Twain headlined in 2003 and Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt and The Judds headlined the halftime show in 1994. The Weeknd has been announced as the headliner for the 2021 Super Bowl halftime show.

Other artists, such as Luke Bryan, Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood have appeared at the Super Bowl to sing the National Anthem.
